Meet Federation Legacy Society Donors Joshua & Marci Sukenic

We met when we were living in Chicago as young adults in our 20s. After getting married and having our three children, we decided that it was time to move our family closer to grandparents, as we both grew up in the West Bloomfield area. It was a huge move for us- we came to Ann Arbor as strangers and were warmly embraced by the Early Childhood Center at the JCC. As a family, we have continued to grow our involvement in the Ann Arbor Jewish community through work with the Federation, attendance at Camp Gan Israel, Camp Raanana, and both Beth Israel Congregation and Temple Beth Emeth. We’ve made our closest friends, who we consider family, and have formed our community here.

While we will continue to give generously to the Federation annual campaign and to the other organizations close to our heart, we have decided to make a commitment to leave a legacy gift because what our family can give now may not be as financially significant as what could be accomplished with an after-lifetime gift. Ann Arbor has welcomed us with open arms and will always be a part of our lives, so this is one of our ways of giving back to the community.
