Yevgeny (Eugene) Vindman is an expert in national security and international law. He was a deputy legal advisor for the United States National Security Council (NSC) until he was reassigned on by the Trump White House on February 7, 2020. With the NSC, his portfolio included work with NATO, the International Criminal Court, African affairs, emerging technologies, international humanitarian law, human rights, and ethics. Prior to the National Security Council, he served in a variety of roles in the U.S. Army Judge Advocate General Corps, including senior policy attorney-adviser for the labor and employment division at the Pentagon and operational law attorney for U.S. Forces in Iraq. An expert in the law of armed conflict, military law, government ethics, and national security law, Colonel Vindman will chat about his Jewish upbringing, his time in the Trump White House, and the current war in Ukraine.
