FED Yom Hazikaron Memorial Ceremony and Play

May 3, 2022 @ 6:15 pm EDT

The Jewish Federation of Greater Ann Arbor’s Israel & Overseas Program invites the greater Ann Arbor community to a Yom Hazikaron Ceremony and play hosted by Detroit Federation’s Israel & Overseas Program on Tuesday May 3.

Let’s join Detroit in a moving ceremony to honor the memory and legacy of the many Israelis who have fallen in combat or acts of terror. The ceremony will be led by youth from the Detroit Jewish community as well as past and present Shinshinim (emissaries from Israel).

A performance (in English) of the award-winning play, Knock Knock by Niv Petel will follow the ceremony.
Knock Knock describes the internal conflict parents face in a nation where children are destined to be soldiers from the day they are born. This heartfelt and insightful drama powerfully connects the audience to the Israeli experience. (You can read more about the play here)

**The event will take place at the Berman Center for the Performing Arts in West Bloomfield.** (Masks required in The Berman)
Event Schedule:
6:15 pm The Berman Doors Open
6:30 pm Siren to Open Yom HaZikaron Memorial Ceremony
7:15 pm “Knock Knock” Performance, followed by Q& A with performer

To attend, please register through JLive
