Fighting White Supremacy: From Charlottesville to Capitol Hill

February 24, 2021 @ 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm EST

Join the Jewish Community Relations Committee of Jewish Federation Greater Ann Arbor and Temple Beth Emeth for a conversation with Integrity First for America Executive Director Amy Spitalnick moderated by State Representative Felicia Brabec to explore the path from Charlottesville to the Capitol; how this movement of violent white supremacists and other far-right extremists has grown; and, most importantly, how we bring these individuals and hate groups to account, starting with IFA’s landmark Charlottesville lawsuit, Sines v. Kessler, which takes on the leaders of this violent movement and heads to trial this year. We will be joined by Washtenaw County Prosecuting Attorney, Eli Savit, to open the conversation and clergy leaders Sheikh Abdullah Al-Mahmudi, Reverend Stacey Simpson Duke, Pastor Mashod Evans, and Rabbi Josh Whinston will offer closing remarks.

Co-sponsored by: Bethel AME Church – First Baptist Church of Ann Arbor – The Muslim Community Association of Ann Arbor
