At 7pm on the 7th night of Chanukah, on Wednesday, the 13th day of December, the Ann Arbor-area Jewish People of Color Network will celebrate the holiday with hot cider, fixings for s’mores (kosher marshmallows available), enthusiastic rounds of Dreidl, Dreidl, Dreidl, and even a bonfire or two!
The celebration will move indoors if the bonfire is snuffed out by falling rain or ice. Attendees are welcome to, but not required to, bring other types of drinks or snacks if they wish.
Everyone in the Jewish community—single or with family, younger or older, observant or not, affiliated or not—who self-identifies as a person of color, is invited. In observance of the broad diversity of the Jewish community, multiple blessings will be offered.
