On the first day of Hannukah, Children from the Hebrew Day School of Ann Arbor and the Nahalal Elementary School met on-line for a joint Hanukkah party. With great excitement, the children prepared songs and dances to show their Israeli and American friends, Lit candles together and enjoyed a joint holiday spirit.

The “School Twinning” project is one part of the Jewish Federation’s 15 years of “Partnership 2 Gether” with Moshav Nahalal in Israel. This partnership includes an annual high school youth exchange program, joint “JCC Maccabi Games” teams, regular on-line meetings of committee members from Nahalal and Ann Arbor and an annual meeting in Israel of the entire Michigan-Central Galilee Partnership, in which Ann Arbor P2G committee members can attend.
